Communication training for local managers
For a large organisation like Securitas, it can be a challenge to communicate in a relevant and attentive way to all local departments. That's why RelationsPeople developed a course for middle managers to help them take more responsibility for communication and bridge the gap between head office and local branches.
Securitas is a large company specialising in security. With a wide range of employees from guards, operators, service technicians to receptionists, all of whom work odd hours and are rarely in the office in front of a PC. Securitas emphasises values, a strong culture, and a high level of personal responsibility to be where the action is and to handle unpredictable situations quickly, safely and competently.
But how do you communicate with this broad group of professionals? How do you ensure relevance and what is the relationship between head office communication and local, intimate communication?
RelationsPeople developed a course for the many local middle managers. The aim was for them to take greater formal responsibility for communications and increase their presence, allowing corporate communications to focus on other strategic tasks. The content of the course was training in short texts for SoMe, mainly for workplace groups, combined with training in short videos recorded on the phone. Practical, simple, and hands-on. The result was a renewed commitment to take responsibility for local communications and greatly improved content.
