RelationsPeople created a training program for consultants at the Faculty of Health and Medical Sciences at the University of Copenhagen in order to promote and strengthen a modern mindset and stronger advising competencies.

The University of Copenhagen’s SUND Faculty of Health and Medical Sciences has been concentrating on enhancing communication efforts for a number of years. Numerous initiatives are developing in research as well as through significant development processes in the various departments and clusters.

It has been a huge challenge for the press and the communication department to organize and compile information about both the intranet and the external channels. For the same reason, the organization is requiring more and more specialized communication support for jobs that are getting more complex. This is difficult because the communication advisor’s abilities might quickly be put to the test by the variety and complexity of responsibilities with “customers” who are becoming more and more talented, aspirational, and demanding.

SUND sought to create a program that would help the entire department adopt a modern mindset and have a better grasp of the advisory function. The increased requirements and expectations would be met by a team of committed communication advisors.

In order to meet this need, RelationsPeople created a training program for the advisors that included a number of presentations on the realities of the adviser role as well as a specific assignment of creating a communication strategy for the communication advisor’s main client, which was then delivered. As a result, consulting abilities were improved, and a set of specific plans were created.
