Elsinore Municipality: Stakeholder analysis qualifies strategic decision in municipality

The Culture and Tourism Committee in Elsinore Municipality had to decide how the municipal museums could best support the municipality's Vision 2030 and tourism policy.

The tourism efforts in the municipality were already supported by a strong cultural life, but the Culture and Tourism Committee was aware that the potential was even greater. One of several prerequisites for realizing this potential was to create greater coherence in cultural life with an overall narrative about the municipal museums that could differentiate them from other museums.

RelationsPeople was retained to develop an inspirational presentation for the Culture and Tourism Committee on the future of the communal museums. As part of this work, RelationsPeople conducted interviews with key stakeholders in the municipality with importance for the development of the museums. In addition, RelationsPeople found inspiration through desk research of other municipalities’ solutions to create a unifying narrative about municipal museums.
