The Municipality of Helsingør wanted more coherence in cultural life in order to boost tourism in the city, and RelationsPeople developed a concept for Museerne Helsingør.

In Helsingør Municipality’s Vision 2030, tourism efforts are supported by a strong cultural life. However, in its Tourism Policy 2025, the municipality recognises that there is great potential in attracting more visitors to the municipality and creating greater visibility for the municipality’s cultural activities. One of the cultural institutions in the municipality that has not realised its potential is Helsingør Museums.

Helsingør Municipality asked RelationsPeople to develop a concept for Helsingør Museums that would create a more coherent profile and inspire the Culture and Tourism Committee to develop the museum in support of the municipality’s Vision 2030 and tourism policy.

RelationsPeople developed a profile proposal for the future city museum, based on Helsingør’s strong maritime history. The development process included desk research, meetings and interviews with the municipality’s politicians and officials, as well as representatives of Museerne Helsingør’s volunteers.
