Launch of educational platform for quantum physics
CP3-Origins at the University of Southern Denmark were to launch a major new project, KvanteKarina, a virtual YouTube star and a new educational portal to get more children and young people interested in quantum physics.
KvanteKarina has her own YouTube channel where she shares insights about the big questions of physics in an easy-to-understand language. She is an ordinary teenager, but her knowledge of quantum physics is unique, and she brings children and young people into her exciting universe through eye-to-eye communication. The universe behind KvanteKarina was created in collaboration with We Love People.
Together with the new educational portal, the launch of KvanteKarina marked a new pedagogical approach where young people were involved from the very beginning to ensure that they were on board and could relate to the universe and see something fun and exciting in quantum physics.
RelationsPeople was responsible for generating national and regional publicity for the launch of the educational platform and KvanteKarina’s YouTube channel. This was achieved by involving the professors behind the educational material, the creators of KvanteKarina and students who had tested the material. A sustained effort was made to generate publicity on TV, radio, specialist and regional media, so that even more teachers and students would be curious about the wondrous world of quantum physics in the future.
